WOLF: A FAMILY HISTORY OF BOXMAKING

BOOK LAUNCH

Simon Wolf, 5th generation CEO of WOLF proudly presents his first book about the Wolf family in this their 190th anniversary year, alongside his co-author Rachael Taylor, renowned jewellery and watches journalist and author. 

From 1834 through to the present day, this fascinating tale of how one family kept innovating and honing their craft of boxmaking through the generations is now available in print. The book is full of beautiful photography and untold tales of the WOLF family, bringing more than 190 years to life.

ALEXANDER BARTER

Alexander Barter began his career at Sotheby’s in 1996 and became Deputy Worldwide
Head of the watch department. Now an independent consultant, he co-founded Black Bough and has authored two books which cover 500 years of horological history. He's a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers.

DAVID DUGGAN

From Portobello Road to Burlington Arcade, for nearly 40 years David Duggan has been one of the UK’s leading dealers in pre-owned watches. He is a defining figure of the high-end collector’s market and an internationally renowned specialist in complication timepieces, with a particular passion for Rolex and Patek Philippe.

ANDREA CASALEGNO
Andrea also known as @iamcasa, is a passionate entrepreneur in the watch communication industry. Born in 1998 in Milan, he has been deeply involved in the watch world for over nine years. Andrea’s journey began with a fascination for the watches his family collected, leading him to his first vintage watch, a 1950s Omega De Ville1.

SCARLETT BAKER
Scarlett is a writer and editor with expertise in the watch and fashion world alongside lifestyle and social commentary. Inspired initially at the airport by the latest FlikFlak watch models at the age of 6 her fascination with high end timepieces has continued, as she aims to inspire the younger generation to share her interest in watchmaking. Scarlett’s career includes Editor at Man about Town, Editor-in-Chief at The Next Hour as well as published articles in Dazed and More or Less. She currently sits as the Watch Editor for Wonderland and Man About Town, and contributes to British GQ.

JUSTIN HAST
Justin is a creative professional renowned for his contributions to the watch industry. As a photographer, writer, and consultant, his versatility has allowed him to collaborate with esteemed brands such as IWC, Vacheron Constantin, and Leica. Justin is also well known as the editor of The Watch Annual, a publication which highlights the year's most notable timepieces.

OREN HARTOV

Oren Hartov covers the watch industry for outlets such as GQ, Esquire, Robb
Report, InsideHook, HODINKEE, Gear Patrol, Worn & Wound, MONOCLE, Watches
International, and more. A graduate of the Berklee College of Music and a military
veteran, he records original jazz fusion with his band "Shaky Eddie" in Los Angeles.

JAMES LAMDIN

James Lamdin launched Analog:Shift in 2012 following two careers in outdoor
equipment and luxury automotive sales. A longtime timepiece collector, James built
Analog:Shift on a passion for storytelling with a dedicated focus on transparency and
authenticity in the space. In 2020, Analog:Shift was acquired by the Watches Of
Switzerland Group, where it now functions as the Vintage & Pre-Owned department
for the brand. James is also a Founding Partner of the RedBar Group, the world’s
largest watch collecting community, and is a regular contributor to numerous industry
and mainstream media outlets, including The New York Times, Bloomberg, Esquire,
GQ and The Robb Report. Beyond wristwatches, James’ passion for collecting
extends to other categories of vintage; including classic cars, graphic art, toys, and
books.

MATT SCANNELL

Matt Scannell is the songwriter and lead singer/guitarist of the band Vertical Horizon.  He has written seven hit singles, including “Everything You Want” (which reached #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and was the most played song of the year 2000.) 

The multi-platinum selling album “Everything You Want” is widely regarded as a seminal work in pop rock music, crossing multiple genres and influencing many bands making music in the new millennium.

Matt is an invested watch collector, where his love for watches started when his Father bought him his first watch, a manual-wind Hamilton field watch, commencing a journey that has made him a noted watch collector in the industry today.
